One of my favourite British columnists, Craig Brown, recently wrote a spoof of Enid Blyton's Famous Five series. It's called Five Go Clinically Obese.
It's on the Daily Telegraph website, but you have to register to get in. However, it's free and they don't spam you.
So register and do a search for "Craig Brown, Five Go Clinically Obese". I promise you, it'll be worth the effort :-)
Hahaha... I couldn't help but burst out laughing at the article! Thanks, Daphne for sharing it and Irene for pointing out the exact path to the hilarious spoof :))

Funny, I've just tried it out and the links seem to work fine. Actually, you realise you have to register once you do a search - did you?
Anyway, I am fine with registering but I may post your tip for pple who think it's a pain in the bum - there I said the word!! ;-)

Your link doesn't seem to go to the correct page. Try this:

Currently it doesn't seem to require one to register. However, if you are prompted to register, you can use the email address [email protected] and the password 123456. I got this from BugMeNot.com, a service which aims at protecting privacy by providing a standard email address & password for sites which require prior registration in order to view contents. Anyway, having to fill in all those forms to register is really a pain in the we-all-know-where ;)
