We had a little pre-Christmas party on Saturday and I received one of the items on my wishlist!
The giver and I were trying to figure out whether the picture on the cover was of a woman's breasts or bottom when one of the guys presents peeked over my shoulder and said: "Those are knees!" which just shows that it's entirely possible for girls to have filthier brains than guys. Or maybe it's just that, as we don't spend time looking at it, we are less familiar with the female form .... ;-)
Oh... I see...

Hey Lee! I guess breasts would make more sense as I'vve never seen anyone decorate their buttocks with violets ... or any flowers for that matter!
I'm saving "Anna" for my maternity leave. Last read it when I was nine-ish and I'm sure it'll be very different this time around ;-)
Julianne, in a nutshell, it's abt a very silly woman who falls madly in love with a very selfish man. In the meantime, another silly woman wastes away, pining for the same selfish man, while another man, quite a silly one if you ask me, although he hides it well, hovers around patiently, waiting for her to recover and marry him on the rebound.
Hee hee. There's much more to the book than that, but that's what my 9-year-old brain gathered when I first read it.

hehe, don't judge your gender too harshly. As soon as the page loaded I thought, "are they breasts or buttocks?" 800+ pages will keep you busy for a while eh?
