My Thoughts Exactly

The assistant editor in charge of book reviews handed me this book today: So Many Books, So Little Time.

"Who's writing about me?" I thought, gazing at the cover. No, I don't look anything like the woman shown on it, but the piles of books look very familiar.

I'm supposed to review it so I have yet another book to add to my list. I've been reading reviews on Amazon.com and there a lot of bad ones. I have to admit that, at first glance, the author, Sara Nelson, seems like a smug little so and so (although not as much as Anne Fadiman does in Ex Libris: Confessions of a Common Reader).

Another book that's slipped onto my "To Read Soon" list is Jihad vs McWorld. It was on the office "give this book a good home" pile so I adopted it.

I hope to read quite a bit this weekend so, hopefully, will have some mini reviews ready by Monday. Must resist the siren call of Sims 2!!
