NaNoWriMo has begun, but has the regretting?
Hell, no!
I mean, it seems to me that there's really no reason for regrets.
One can but try. There's no such thing as failure and it's all supposed to be about having a good time and saying, "Well, at least I gave it a whirl!"
At the moment, I'm still only just thinking about my novel. It doesn't mean I'm not going to get it done though. Maybe I'll suddenly write 20,000 words on Sunday. You never know.
For now, I know it's going to be about a girl named ... Turq. Well, that can be her name til something better comes along anyway.
Turq likes wearing lots of eyeliner and very few pieces of clothing. She is addicted to white chocolate and Tulip cocktail sausages. And she's crazy about vampires. Or the idea of vampires. She's obsessed with Anne Rice and, recently, Sookie Stackhouse. The bottom line is she wants to sleep with a vampire. So much so, she pretends her boyfriend is one, which really gets up his nose because he's recently born again. I.E. a Christian, you know. So, there he trying very hard not to have sex in the first place and he also has to cope with a girlfriend who keeps trying to make him bite her neck and cringe at the sight of crucifixes. How inconvenient ....
What happens next? Now that would be telling!
Hmm ...
OK, time to start writing. Wish me luck!
Turq, trying to persuade her long-suffering, born-again Christian boyfriend that fresh blood is preferable to a hamburger.
You inspired me to join nanowrimo.org. I have and is now at the 10,000 word mark. Where are you? Can you let me know your username and add me 'marshamaung' to your friends list???
You better be moving along too, ok? You are my inspiration. And even if the novel sucks in the end, let's swap novels and laugh our heads off ok?
